Abstract

"Newsreal" piece on the proposed merger of Portland's three hospitals, which was scuttled when Mercy Hospital balked at giving up its autonomy and joining an organization that provides abortions. Representatives of Maine Medical Center and Brighton Medical Center plan to discuss the implications that Mercy's withdrawal have for the plan.
