Abstract
"City" piece on the sale of a city-owned 3,600-square-foot lot at 17 Salem Street in Portland to Skip Matson for $1,200. Some city officials and area residents believe the notification process was inadequate. City Manager Bob Ganley said he's not happy about the breakdown in communications and has instructed Mark Adelson, director of housing and neighborhood services, to be sure it doesn't happen again. Adelson's office oversees the sale of forfeited real estate the city acquires because of unpaid property taxes.
