Abstract

"Newsreal" piece on the July 15 public hearing at Portland High School on Central Maine Power Co.'s (CMP) latest rate hike request. The Coalition for Lower Utility Bills says the 125 people who turned out for the hearing made up the largest group ever to show up for a hearing on CMP, and sent a message to the Maine Public Utilities Commission that the state's residents can't afford to pay more for electricity.
