Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece on a recent survey of laws in all 50 states covering financial disclosures by legislators conducted by the Center for Public Integrity, a nonpartisan research organization in Washington, D.C., which determined that Maine ranked 33rd in the nation, and a response to readers who took issue with the author's contention in a recent column that state senator Chellie Pingree sponsored a bil to ban "non-compete" clauses in radio and TV contracts for political reasons.
