Abstract
"City" piece on "Loud, Intelligent and Political" (LIP), an activist empowerment group for young women founded by Eleanor Whitney, 18, and Lil Bonechi, 17, who are both students at Portland's Waynflete School. The purpose of LIP is to give young women a chance to see themselves as agents of political and social change and is currently educating its membership about the late-term abortion referendum that will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot.
