Abstract

"So Noted" piece criticizing the Portland School Committee for showing contempt for the democratic process by meeting in executive session on Oct. 6 to discuss the possibility of getting medical benefits or a pay raise from the city. Portland attorney Jonathan Piper said the committee cannot justify meeting behind closed doors to discuss such topics.
