Abstract

There are 1,486 dogs registered in the city of Portland, one for every 43 people. More than a third of those dogs are mixed-breeds, and the most common purebreds are Labrador retrievers, which number 111. There is even one that is described as a "Portland water dog," and this is their story. Details.
