Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece about Maine Attorney General Andrew Ketterer, whose continuance in office is seen as threatened by Speaker of the House Steven Rowe, who is believed to be interested in making a bid for the job. Rowe is popular on both sides of the political aisle. He is given high marks for fairness and for his administrative skills. Rowe is likely to postpone any move for the job until fall. Ketterer had hoped for another term, followed by a run for Congress. If Rowe shoves him aside, those hopes would be ended.
