Abstract

"Edge" piece on Terkonekto, a duo of so-called noise-smiths that produces sprawling sonic soundscapes with little discernible structure. Enki A. King (Dave Johnson of Portland) and Track 3 (Chris Aubin of Manchester, N.H.) create music with their instruments, then modify those sounds by adjusting the settings on their effects. Their equipment is primarily analog and no computers are involved.
