Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece on state represenative Thomas Shields, R-Auburn, who claims Republicans have been unfairly denied their share of the credit for passing a bill to control prescription drug costs, even though Shields opposed the bill when it was being debated. Also with a piece on Mark Cenci of Portland, chairman of the Maine Libertarian party, who is betting any one person $1,000 that the federal government would be bigger than it is now at the end of a George W. Bush presidency.
