Abstract
"Edge" piece on Kate White, 24, Portland canvas director for the Fund for Public Interest Research, a nonprofit organization established in 1982, which collects donations, gathers signatures and recruits members for over 40 environmental and consumer advocacy groups across the country. This summer, White and her crew have been working on behalf of the National Parks Conservation Association and the U.S. Public Interest Research Group.
