Abstract

"Visual Arts" piece about Berenice Abbott's photograph's documenting U.S. Route 1 from Fort Kent to Key West. Taken in 1954, fifty of her 2,400 photographs of Route 1 are now on exhibit at the Portland Museum of Art, Sept. 21 through Dec. 3. The exhibit is entitled "North and South: Berenice Abbott's U.S. Route 1."
