Abstract

"Edge" piece on Northern Wings Inc. (NWI), a charity organization founded in 1992 by Rudy Engholm, 49, of Portland. NWI hooks up the experience and hardware of almost 50 pilots throughout New England with non-profit environmental organizations in need of an airplane. The flights are paid for by the pilots who, Engholm says, get to see interesting places with interesting people doing interesting things.
