Abstract

"Sportland" piece on the Portland Youth Rugby Club, an independent team that receives no school funding. Portland's "Power Pigs" won the New England Division II championship in 1996, its first year in that league, and have since been upgraded to Division I, playing teams from the Boston area, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
