Abstract

"Edge" piece on the Miss Gay Maine pageant, last held in 1996, which is being revived by Shawn Walsh, who won the title in 1993. According to documents filed at the Maine Secretary of State's Office, the contest belongs to Rumors Inc., the corporate entity that used to own the Underground, a gay nightclub in Portland. Rumors Inc. is owned by Paul Hood, a former co-owner of the Underground.
