Abstract

"Edge" piece on Zootz, a Portland nightclub owned by George Sweeting. Zoots closed last December following a rent dispute with its landlord, Portland Stage Company. Employees and others affiliated with the club, who had equipment and personal belongings stored there, would like to recover their property, but Jerry Bazata, head of Peoples Heritage Bank's small business lending division, said everything in the club has been sold to cover a loan made to Sweeting's company, Bad Habits World Inc.
