Abstract

"Cover Story" piece on an undercover investigative report on sanitation, personnel hygiene, safe food-handling practices and the general working environment at the St. John Street McDonald's in Portland, which was the first McDonald's franchised in Maine and had about $3.2 million in sales last year. The St. John Street McDonald's franchise is owned by George Lydick, who also owns five other McDonald's franchises in the Greater Portland area.
