Abstract
When Warren Galway was hired as principal at Biddeford High School, only 65 percent of the students graduated after four years, and the dropout rate hovered near nine percent. Galway has instituted changes in the educational process at Biddeford, and among other things the dropout rate has fallen to 1.2 percent. Galway doesn't much believe in the high tech approach being embraced by some schools, and though he doesn't have anything against computers he doesn't think they will ever replace good teachers.
