Abstract

"City" piece on the owners of the Maine Mall in South Portland, who are looking for a new management company. S.R. Weiner, the Massachusetts-based company that is the mall's majority-owner, wants to get out of the day-to-day management to concentrate on the more lucrative business of strip-mall development. Three national companies are competing for the job. But members of the local management team, headed by former South Portland city manager Jerre Bryant, have been told their jobs are safe.
