Abstract
"Political Crapshoot" piece on the state's $180 million gap between expected state revenues and current spending obligations. Though all Portland-area lawmakers agree the budget crisis could lead to cuts to local schools, there is no unity in how to solve it. With comments by several Portland-area lawmakers, including Rep. Joseph Brannigan and Sen. Ann Rand, both Portland Democrats, and Sen. Karl Turner (R-Cumberland).
