Abstract

The Portland Public Library is one of just 19 institutions nationwide to receive a $25,000 grant from the National Library of Medicine to pay for computers and a link to the Internet. The grant is part of the NLM's crusade to establish links not only among medical practitioners involved with AIDS, but between the medical establishment and the general public. The Portland project is a collaboration between the library and The AIDS Project, and will feature terminals at both sites. Details.
