Abstract
The nonpartisan Money and Politics Project on Tuesday released a report showing that the 1994 Maine gubernatorial contest was the most expensive in history. The four candidates received $2.86 million in contributions, with over 77 percent of the contributions coming in amounts over $50. The report was the first in a series of reports to be released over the next several months.
