Abstract

Susan Tarpinian, owner of Morning Glory Natural Foods in Brunswick and president of the Maine Health Freedom Coalition, says that Mainers are mailing some 500 letters a week to legislators in Washington protesting the new Food and Drug Administration regulations on dietary supplements. Much of the protest over the new regulations seems to stem from misinformation, but health food advocates say the ultimate goal might be to restrict access to information. Details.
