Abstract

The Maine Coalition for Family Crisis Services has released a report showing that reported abuse crimes against women have increased dramatically since the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson last June. The Family Crisis Center in Portland handled 3,766 complaints of abuse against women and children in 1994, as compared to 2,679 complaints in 1993.
