Abstract

Alison Hildreth and Katarina Weslien, two Portland artists, have purchase the Calderwood Building in partnership with Bill Alcorn and Horace Hildreth. The former bakery on Pleasant Street in Portland is currently part of the Maine College of Art's scattered campus, and plans are for the upstairs to be used as studio space and the downstairs to house a gallery, restaurant and performing arts organization.
