Abstract

"Byte ME" piece reporting that the city of Portland's capital improvement budget contains $275,000 for the Portland Public Library's automation program. PPL is embarking on a $630,000 endeavor to add 100 computer terminals to the library network, which will include six modem ports to allow home computer users to call in and explore the databases available.
