Abstract

Portland has been chosen by Ticketmaster to be a showcase city for the company's new music showcase contest. Four Maine bands and one from New Hampshire will play in front of industry representatives on September 9 at T-Birds, and the winner will go on to a regional contest and then possibly to the national showcase in New York City. Goud's Thumb, Elderberry Jam and Sabretooth Nudists will represent Portland, while Cana' Joe will represent Orono and The Sheds will try to do New Hampshire proud.
