Abstract
"Along the Waterfront." The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is considering Alec Loeb's application for permission to put down twelve moorings-for-hire in six small harbors along the Maine Coast. The users would be billed for $25 a night. Loeb placed some moorings last year without permission at Camp, McGlathery, Merchant, and Barred islands, plus Duck Harbor on Isle au Haut and Herrick Cove in Eggemoggin Reach, but the Coast Guard ordered them removed removed. The reaction from the boating community to the application has been negative.
