Abstract

Jane Goodrich and her husband, Jim Beyor, have built a mansion on Swans Island called Kragsyde. While not an exact replica of the original Kragsyde, it is a careful adaptation of the plans of a proud Shingle Style house that once stood on Massachusetts' North Shore. The 6,600-square-foot residence looks more than a century old, but it's actually a huge do-it-yourself project that began 18 years ago and is still in progress.
