Abstract
Article about the Goodall Mansion in Sanford. Built in 1871 by Thomas Goodall, a large textile mill owner, the mansion is the poster house for the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Gifts of Heritage program, appearing in national advertisements and promotions. It is now owned by building contractor Patrick Fagan, 40, whose parents and grandfather once worked in the mills. Fagan and his fiancee, Joanne Lewis, recently paid the National Trust for Historic Preservation $500,000 for it. With details about the Goodall family and a tour of the mansion.
