Abstract

An article on Hidden Gardens, a family-run nursery in Searsport founded by Carla Brown some 25 years ago. With profiles of Carla Brown and her husband, Bob, now a full-time partner, and a look at their business, which attracts about 3,000 people a year. They are surprised at their success, much of it due to their hard work, scrupulous honesty, testing of plants for Maine's rigorous climate, and love of what they do. With a list of Carla Brown's top ten plants for Maine gardens.
