Abstract

"North by East" piece on a new Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) reality series, " Colonial House," in which two-dozen adventurers are recreating life in 1628 Maine. Since last May, the "colonists" have been living in thatched-roof houses on an isolated stretch of Washington County coastline. The show will be broadcast next year, probably in April or May.
