Abstract

"North by East" piece about the South Portland-built "Jeremiah O'Brien," the last unmodified Liberty-class cargo ship, belonging to the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park. The ship will participate in ceremonies in Normandy marking the 50th anniversary of D-Day on June 6 and will make a stop in Casco Bay in early August, her visit to Maine since being built in 1943.
