Abstract
Profile of Carol and Peter Bass, who started Maine Cottage Furniture in 1988 in Yarmouth, a company that does nearly $2 million annually selling informal, colorful, Maine-made furniture that evokes summer cottages. Peter Bass is a Wilton native and a scion of the family that founded Bass Shoe Company, and Carol grew up in South Carolina and is a sculptor and painter by training.
