Abstract
"Along the Waterfront" piece on how an era of Hodgdon-family boatbuilding in East Boothbay came to an end with the death of George "Sonny" Hodgdon, 73, who took over the business from his uncles in 1945. Sonny's son, Tim, has been in charge for two years, carrying on a tradition that goes back to the launching of the first Hodgdon pinky schooner in 1819.
