Abstract

A short article on paddle-wheel tours on the Songo River Queen II, which replaced the first Songo River Queen in 1982. That ship, more an evocation than a replication of a steamboat, had been taking passengers for excursions since the early seventies. The boat, under Captain Casey Chase, leaves from the Naples Causeway and ends in Sebago, finding herself in the Songo locks twice daily. With details on the steamboat era.
