    Abstract

    Short piece summarizes the success of an innovative piece of Maine legislation which addresses the problem of parents who refuse to pay child support. The Family Financial Responsibility Act of 1993 makes Maine the first state to link nonpayment to revocation of driver's license, as well as occupational and professional licenses.
