Abstract

Article on antique souvenir china, which was very common around the state in the early part of the twentieth century. It is now known as German view china because the accurate and intricate scenes of Maine were actually drawn, printed, and engraved in Germany and Austria. German view became popular in the state in the late 1890s, providing tourists with mementos of cherished vacations.
