Abstract
"Inside Maine" piece on Dodge Point in Newcastle, a little piece of public land with saltwater views, an Indian shell midden, and an old brick foundry. The land, just shy of 500 acres, swings for close to a mile along a wide point of the Damariscotta River. The state bought the land with money from the Land for Maine's Future fund.
