Abstract
"Making It In Maine" piece about potter Mark Kuzio, whose pottery is in the permanent collections of the Portland Museum of Art, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Arizona State University of Arizona. In 1988, Kuzio founded Birdworks of Maine and now makes ten types of ceramic bird feeders, houses, and baths. His work is characterized by simple, clean shapes, bright colors, and artistic designs drawn from nature. This year, he expects to sell 4,000 of his products for $18 to $32 each.
