Abstract
"What's in a Picture?" piece on the Bath-built Dorothy B. Barrett, a five-master that sank off the coast of New Jersey in 1918, after being hit by a torpedo from a German submarine. The boat was under the command of Captain William Merritt of South Portland, who escaped with his crew.
