    Abstract

Brief essay about Victorian Holiday Portland, where nearly all major cultural organizations, from the art museum to the symphony, from theater troupes to the library, have special events planned. Beginning November 24 with the lighting of the tree in Monument Square, the merriment doesn't stop until after New Year's Portland, a one night New Year Eve's affair that turns Portland into a giant block party.
