Abstract

"Along the Waterfront" piece about traditional wooden lobsterboat and lobster yacht builder Peter Kass of South Bristol, who, a few years ago was worrying about orders. Now, Kass' John's Bay Boat, currently has eight orders on hand, which is enough work to keep the small shop busu into the next century. One of the new orders is for a recreational craft, the others are for Kass' sturdy lobsterboats, designed by Carroll Lowell, of Pownal.
