Abstract

"Along the Waterfront" piece on Kathy and Chris Beebe, of South Portland, who ten years ago completed a sixteen-day passage from Kittery Point to West Quoddy Head on Windsurfers. Although they chose to make their voyage in July, when they figured the weather would be warmer, they ran into all kinds of weather. A fog bank they encountered off Eggemoggin Reach was especially challenging.
