Abstract
Description of Lane's Island, an offshore wilderness area that is an easy half-hour walk from the ferry landing on Vinalhaven, where the boat from Rockland docks. In addition to hiking paths, there is a small sandy beach on the island, a couple of picnic tables, and a panoramic view of Penobscot Bay.
