Abstract

"North by East" piece on the franchise restaurant, Bugaboo Creek Steak House, near the Maine Mall in South Portland, whose popularity can be traced to its marketing gimmick. Everything at the restaurant is calculated to suggest a Dudley Do-Right lodge in the Canadian Rockies. In Maine, having a bison head burst into song above your head is still something of a novelty.
