    Abstract

    A special section on Designers' ShowHouse "97," presented by the Women's Committee of the Portland Symphony Orchestra, June 8-29, at Channelside in Cape Elizabeth. With a description of Channelside, a John Calvin Stevens House built by Portland business baron Frederick Walker to replace the original John Calvin Stevens house he had commissioned and that had been destroyed by fire; and details on the designer rooms; Portland Symphony Orchestra and the Women's Committee; the PSO 1997-1998 schedule; and special ShowHouse events.
