    Abstract

"North by East" piece on the Maine Department of Environmental Protection's goal of having a pump-out station within four miles of 100 specific Maine harbors identified as needing special environmental protection from sewage. A growing fleet of boats is servicing visiting mariners, and five coastal towns have received nearly $65,000 each in state grants to pay for the mobile pumping boats.
