    Abstract

    A consortium of investors are exploring the possiblity of piping natural gas from Nova Scotia's Sable Island reserves to Maine via Route 9, the Airline. As nuclear power plants go off line during the next two decades, and demand for cleaner electricity increases, they predict a market niche for gas-fired electricity.
