Abstract

"Dining Down East" piece on Five Fifty-five on Congress Street in Portland, owned by Michelle and Steve Corry, who live above the restaurant. Both worked in distinguished Napa Valley restaurants before starting their Portland venture a year ago. The restaurant is in a former engine house with a banistered mezzanine, which once housed Raffles bookstore-cafe and later Aubergine.
